    In the 1857 First Territorial Census for Minnesota (21 Sep 1857), the following persons were listed as farmers living with Silas (26 yrs., farmer), Mary A. (25 yrs.), Frank (3 yrs.) and Alida (6/12 yrs.): Wallace Washburn (17 yrs.) and James Washburn (22 yrs.) Wallace and James were probably brothers of Mary.

    Mary was listed in the 1870 Minnesota census as being "crazy." (Huntington's Disease was in the Washburn family.)

    According to her death certificate, she died of "inflamation".

    According to GTW, her year of birth was 1855, which was probably a mistake in reading handwriting.
