I 1664 er han oppført som husmann, men var antakelig livårsmann, for sønnen Thomas hadde overtatt i 1664. Han eide Nefstad 66/1 i 1650-årene og utover. Sønnensønnen med samme navn kom til Nestad og tok den antakelig på odel.
