    Notes:

Sigvat or Sigvart Leirol was a knight and had his estate at the Leirol farms. He was a member of the state council under King Håkon V Håkonson and participated in the signing of the peace treaty with Denmark 17 July 1309. He is said to have been buried under the old stave church in Vang that now stands in Risengebirge in Poland. His shield hung in the church, together with another shield, whose owner is unknown, until the church was moved and went together with the old church to Prussia. Sigvat was the district governor in Valdres and had participated in making many important judicial decisions both in Østlandet and Vestlandent. After 1339 his name no longer appears in the records. A legend says that he died in a peasant rebellion in 1340. But another legend says that he fell at Riddar-svaet in Synshagen on the West side of Vangsmjøsa in a fight with knights who lived at that time at Syndrøl.
