  1. 1.  John FULLER was born on 14 Dec 1611 in Toperton, Norfolk County, England; died on 7 Feb 1697/98 in Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

    Notes:

    John (age 15) and William Fuller (age 25) arrived in America on the "Abigail" in May, 1635. John settled in Cambridge Village (Newton) about 1644. He and his son's father-in-law Edward Jackson, were the two largest land owners in Cambridge Village, where John purchased 800 acres on the south side of the Charles River, a little distance above Angiers Corner. He later bought another 200 acres. In his will, he left the land, undivided, to his sons, with the condition that they were not to sell any part of it, nor let it pass out of the possession of families of the name Fuller.

    Bought Fuller Farm from Joseph Cook, resided 4/F,G, 5/F,G (West Newton-Waltham) and owned land 4/F (Newtonville); Townsman 1686-87, Surveyor of highways 1687, Tithingsman 1690, Selectman 1693-94, Fence Viewer 1694; Committees: to negotiate with Cambridge on taxation and separation 1686, to choose County Clerk of the Writs 1689, to defend Abraham Jackson from serving as Cambridge Constable 1695, to handle claim of Capt. Thomas Prentice for reimbursement for support of Widow Susanna Clements 1695-96; received payment for repairing north end of Meeting House 1681 and for a burying cloth 1693, rated 2 persons and estate 1688, held meeting of Townsmen at his house 1694, Fuller Farm divided among his heirs 1699, referenced in agreement among his heirs and others over an open way through Fuller Farm 1730, grave #337.
