    Han er nevnt flere ganger i skattemantallet fra 1612 til 1641. Han brukte hele gården og i tillegg hadde han 12 laupsbol i Skattebu og ett i Windingstad. Beitrusten mener det må ha vært en velstående kar! Det er klart at han har vært en rik og mek tig mann. Men med ham startet forfallet. Han delte opp gården mellom sønnene sine. Øysten fikk 35/1 nedre, som han senere solgte til sokneprest Kristen Lauritzen Qvislin i 1712.
