Notes |
- His middle name is from the surname of the husband of his aunt, Amanda Jones.
According to his newspaper obituary, he was born 28 Aug 1876 [sic], came to Menasha in 1921, was owner of the Menasha Ice and Fuel Company and manager of Pankratz Ice and Fuel Company. He was a member of First Congregational Church and of the F&AM Lodge.
He managed a lumber yard in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, Canada.
In June 1900 he was a boarder in the same household as Jeanette Stehle, Michael Stehle and Calla Stehle. Could this be where he met Jeanette's sister before they were married six years later? [2]
