  Notes	From the Ancestry.Com Public Tree entitled Shelton Family Tree: "Mark served in the U.S. Airforce, he had joined the Navy during his last year of highschool with a friend Joe Hensley on the delayed entry program. After graduation he decided on the airforce. Joe went to the navy, served his time and came home. Mark decided to make the airforce his career. He married Janet Tanner in 1962 and had two sons, Mark(1962) and Barry(1967), most of this time was spent in Louisana, when they divorced in 1968 Janet and the boys returned to tennessee. While he was stationed in California he was diagnosed with Hodkins , it was there he met and married Patricia Hunter (12-6-2969). They had one son Jon (3-15-1971). Mark older sons came to live with him after his marriage and despite he illness they went horseback riding, hunting and camping, the western life. Mark died in 1973 of a heart attack brought on by the aggressive treatment for his cancer. After his death the two older sons returned to live with their mother in Tennessee and seldom saw Jon." [4]
