- In his will, dated 4 Mar 1670, John Peacock mentions his wife Joyce, daughters Phebe and Mary, and son-in-law James Clark. After immigration, he lived first in New Haven. By 1639 he was a freeplanter in Milford, owning lot number 5, which was 1 acre and 3 rods, which would have been at the corner of modern Maple Street and West River Street (1975). Maple Street had been called Peacock Lane. He then moved to Stratford, Connecticut in 1651 and died there in 1670.
