Helge also was a grain buyer and at one time a director of the State Bank of Sacred Hear t. Helge died at age 49 and is buried in the West Sacred Heart Cemetery. Berit later married Peter Synnes and they continued the hotel and restaurant business. Berit was childless in both marriages.
