- In the 1850 U.S. Census for Elkhorn Grove Township, Caroll County, Illinois, enumerated on 25 Dec 1850, Victory Putnam (age 30) and Eliza Putnam (age 28) were living only a few houses from Eliza's brother Reuben Hardy. Included in the family were Catherine Putnam (age 8), Christopher C. Putnam (age 6) and Abigail Putnam (age 1).
