  Notes	In the 1810 and 1820 census for Exeter, Otsego County, New York, there is a head of family named W. Allen (1810) and Wyatt Allen (1820). He did not appear in later censuses. His listing is adjacent to M. Washburn in the 1810 census. Age of females in the 1810 census is consistent with having a daughter the age of Hannah, although there are no daughters listed in the 1820 census. This circumstantial evidence indicates that Wyatt Allen might have been the father of Hannah Allen, who may have grown up during childhood next door to Miles Washburn, Junior. The 1830 census for Exeter shows only a Hiram Allen, who might have been a brother to Hannah. There was no Wyatt Allen in probate records at Cooperstown (Otsego County Surragate Court Office). In the U.S. census records for Dryden, Tompkins County, New York (near Ithaca) there is a Wyatt Allen (sometimes spelled Wiat or White) from 1820 through 1850. His birth date would be ca 1782. His wife Huldah may be a second wife -- she is 16 years younger than him and the oldest daughter listed is just 12 years younger than Huldah. An Ancestry.Com OneWorldTree entry gives his death at age 74 (1856) in Dryden and Amanda Green as first wife. But is this the same Wyatt Allen who appears in the 1820 U.S. census for Exeter? 1850 New York State Census, New Haven, Oswego County: Miles Washburn, 43 male, farmer, $2,000 real estate, born NY. Hannah Washburn, 42 female, born NY. Mary Ann Washburn, 17 female, born NY. James Washburn, 15 male, farmer, born NY. Wiliam W. Washburn, 9 male, born NY. Ephraim Washburn, 6 male, born NY. Otis, 4 male, born NY. Hannah L., 2 female, born NY. According to 1865 New Haven Census, Hannah Washburn was 57, mother of 7, married once, now widowed, owner of land. Ephraim, age 20, born Otsego, single farmer; Otis, age 18, born Otsego, single farmer; Elizabeth, age 16, born Oswego, single; Jenett, age 12, born Oswego, single. Her approximate date of birth is inferred from 1850 and 1865 census records and burial record. If she were born in Westchester County about 1808, the U.S. Census for 1810 shows only 4 Allen families, headed by Zepheniah, John, Samuel and Samuel. According to burial records Hannah was age 61 at death on 23 Sep 1868. Gravestone: Reported by:Raymond Varner on Apr 21, 2012 Several years ago the cemetery was massively vandalized. Most of the above ground headstones were completely destroyed. Because this is a historical cemetery many of the stones are being replaced.
