    • His birth and baptism are uncertain. The church book shows that Knud Norland's wife Keirsty Joensdatter was introduced to the church on 25 Mar 1767, which should follow the birth of a child, but the records are poor and very difficult to read. No baptism can be found for Anders. At the time of his death on 1 Feb 1846 he was 80 years old. At the time of the 1801 census he was listed as 33 years old and unmarried, indicating that his birth was about 1767-1768.

    Notes
    • Tenant farmer. According to usual practice, he would have owned the farm, but most likely he wasn't very healthy, because his brother-in-law Pål Kristoffersson took over in 1785. Andris lived at home. His "pension" and that of his mother were received from Pål and the pension agreement was renewed in 1807, probably because he became a widower in that year. He died on the farm as a pauper, supported by the community. It seems that the family lived at Haga, a subfarm under Jøvne for a time ca. 1810, but otherwise they lived at Nordland Sygarden, no. 57/1. [1, 7]

This record appears to be the introduction to the church of his mother, after his birth, but does not mention his name or date of birth. The christening record has not been found.
