- John Miller was one of the first settlers of Wethersfield and was a founder of Stamford. His will mentions widow Mary and their children John, Jonathan and Joseph. Obadiah Seeley built a house on Miller's land. This house was to be used by the widow for life, then belonged to the Miller children after they paid its value to the Seeley children. Miller's sons, John and Jonathan, settled in Bedford, New York, and son Joseph settled in Cohansey, New Jersey, dying there in 1730. [1]
