- Date of birth is also given as 30 May 1607. Governor Bradford wrote in 1650 that "James Chilton and his wife died in the first infection, but their daughter Mary is still living and hath nine children; and one daughter is married and hath a child. So their increase is ten."
She is said to be the first of the Pilgrims to set foot on Plymouth Rock, but this is probably a myth. [2, 3]
