  Notes	In the book entitled "The Eno and Enos Family in America: Descendants of James Eno of Windsor, Conn." by Douglas C. Richardson, 1973, it is stated that Hannah Phelps was the daughter of Timothy Phelps and Mary Griswold, but Hannah Phelps was most probably Hannah Birge, daughter of John Birge and Hannah Watson. She acquired the name Phelps in her first marriage with Benjamin Phelps. See the vital records of Windsor, Connecticut as recorded in the Barbour Collection, p. 34, and the book by Olive Seymour Phelps entitled "The Phelps Family of America and their English Ancestors, with Copies of Wills, Deeds, Letters, and Other Interesting Papers, Coats of Arms and Valuable Records." See also "History of Torrington" for birth of Hannah Birge, daughter of John Birge and Elizabeth Watson. John Birge's son Jeremiah, b. 22 Sep 1682, married Mary Griswold 1 Jan 1718. He died 1775.
