- He was one of the colony that came to Massachusetts from Londonderry, Ireland, arriving in Boston 4 Aug 1718, at the age of 21. He settled the same year in Worcester, where he was a man of prominence and property. He is assumed to be a son of John Gray, but this cannot be proven. Among his siblings are brothers Matthew, William, Hugh, Samuel and John, Jr. [1]
