    Notes
    • In 1582 he drowned in Vangsmjøsen on a trip with the parish priest to the annex in Opdal. In a letter dated 19 Mar 1586, the town councilmen of Vang reported on the hearing about the drowning after Ola Brattvål complained that his father-in-law's death may have been due to negligence or murder. There was a rumor that the stable boy Haskild was responsible, but the priest, herr Jakob, give witness that it was an accident and Haskild was freed.

On the 21st of May 1579, Anders Halvorsøn on Ellingbøe and his brother Oluff Halvorsøn on Sæbu (N. Aurdal) ratified the letter of purchase that Bjørn Oluffsøn gave Sigurd Bårdsøn in 1556 regarding Midlysne in Lærdal. The brothers had sued Sigurd Bårdson for release of the alloidial rights to the farm. "Our blessed father Halvor Andersøn was entitled by birth to the property" it stated. We know that the two brothers had at least another brother named Knut, but he did not sign the document. This Knut is certainly the Knut Halvorsøn who later became the magistrate (lensman) in Vestre Slidre and lived at Øvre Handen. The document was affixed with the seals of Hauort Erikssøn of Remme in Vang, Anders Anderssøn of Eri in Lærdal, Hagen Einarsøn of Grytiom in Lærdal and Haldor Nielssøn of Lysne in Lærdal. The original document is said to be in Bergens Museum.

Anders seemed to have been the magistrate (lensman) in Vang about 1575-1580. A daughter married Oluff Bratvold in Skautvål (a neighbor of Oluff on Sæbu). He was also the father of Jens Andersøn who in 1458 was the administrative assistant (fullmektig) to the judge and was the priest in Vang from about 1598 to 1607 as well as the priest in Slidre.
