- In his will, he gave 10 shillings to the poor of Thatcham. To his eldest son Francis, he gave his messuages and lands in Thatcham and Henwick, called Auberies, and in Midgham and 3 acres in North Field near Thatcham, including the piddles (Pightels) therunto belonging, to him and the male heirs of his body, with contingent remainders to his sons Roger and Richard, entail male, and to the said Roger and Richard 20s each a year. He gave to Joan Bushnell, daughter of francis Bushnell, a bullock and a cow, his overseers to have charge of the saqme until her age of 21; he forgve his son-in-law Stephen Goddard 9 pounds which he owed to him. Executors were his wife Elizabeth and son William Bushnell. Inventory 36 pounds, 14 shillings, 4 pence. Six children were named in his will. [2]
