- De bodde først hos broren Ivar som var husman i Kvien. Der drev Gullik som skredder, men da Ivar flytrtet ser det ut til at Gullik og Dorthe overtok husmannsplassen i Kvien, til de dro til Amerika 2.april 1856. Children born in US: Malina Dortea b. 5-30-1858 Anne b. 6-17-1860, d. 3-28-1861, prob. bur. Holden Lutheran Cemetery, Wanamingo Twp., Goodhue Co. The family checked out of Vang parish to immigrate on April 2, 1856. They had resided at the Kvien farm in Vang (same large farm, also described as a manor, that Iver Christopherson's family had been at). Gullick was a tailor.
The family appears in Northfield Twp. in 1857, 1860, and 1870 censuses. Gullick homesteaded 80 acres in Northfield Twp. (twp.#111), Section 33, near Iver who was in Section 32. Gullick registered his land claim in 1861 in the land office in Hend erson, MN.

1884 Land Record: Christopher Gullikson Lockrem took out a claim on 160 acres at the land office in Crookston, MN, for land located in 5th base line, Twp. 143 N., Range 43 W., Sect. 34.
