    • Most of his ashes were buried by Reverend Farmer in the Memorial Garden behind the Silverside Church, Wilmington, Delaware, at a small memorial service. Some of his ashes were cast into the Gulf of Maine at the time of a memorial service in 2000 at the family cottage in New Harbor, Maine. Some ashes were brought to the Vang Church cemetery in Norway where they were scattered among the Ellingbøe family graves. Some ashes were scattered at the Jambo Creek cemetery in Wisconsin, among the Ellingboe family graves.
    Notes 
    • His family celebrated his birthday on October 14, which was his father's birthday. This is the date he used on his Social Security application and he believed it was his birthdate, even though his birth certificate documents his birth on October 15.
    • (Medical):He had Parkinson's disease late in life as well as an abdominal aortic aneurism which was repaired when discovered at the time that he had a gall stone. His brother had died from a ruptured aortic aneurysm.
