He had a brother called Christen who was "raadmann" in Bergen 1523-1535. Olav must have been born before 1480. We don't know who his wife was, but he had at least three sons: Torbjørn (abt.1503-1548) who was the first archbishop in Trondheim after the Reformation; Jens (abt.1505-1548) rector in Aure and at Vår Frues church in Trondheim; Nils (look below).
