  Notes	Ole Hovey was born in Norway and came to the United States at the age of 23. He homesteaded in West Norway Township in 1893, coming from Eddy County. Mr. Hovey was the first school clerk, first secretary of the rural Hamberg-Norway Telephone Com pany, a mail carrier, assessor, county commissioner and a charter member of East Vang Church. His wife was Marit G. Skattebo and they were the parents of five children, Sever, Carl, Clara, Melvin and Oscar.
