Notes |
- He is named in 1481, 1496 and 1513. He must have been very rich. Anders Stilloff published a long family history article about him in Tidsskrift for Valdres Historielag, 1935. In an "oldbrev" (1496) he received ten "løbol" from his uncle Eirik Håvardson. Eirik was certainly old and without heirs and wanted to be sure that his brother's son would take care of him in his old age. In 1528, when he was an old man, Anders bought 3 "løbol" more in Sæbu. Since nothng more is heard of Anders, he probably died soon afterwards. In the 7th year of the publication of "TVH," an article was pubished entitled "Similingar gards- og ættesoge". There it is stated that Anders was the son of Fartegn Fillippusson, but that is impossible. It is more likely that Anders came to Semelenge when he married the daughter of Fartegn, Gudrid Fartegnsdatter, if he were indeed her husband, which is uncertain. In a more recent critical analysis of this family, Bjønnes et al. suggest that Anders Jensson, a lagretteman in Sogn, mentioned in a document from 1480, was the husband of Gudrid Fartegnsdotter and father of Jens Andersson. Bjønness et al. also dismissed the possiblities that either Anders Amundsson (claimed by Asgaut Steinnes) or Anders Håvardsson (claimed by Anders Stilloff) could have been Gudrid's husband. The identity of Gudrid's husband is still a subject for further investigation. [1, 2]
