- On his WWI draft registration dated 12 Sep 1918, he provided his date of birth, residence in Dodge, Nebraska, occupation (farmer) and employer (his father Ferdinand).
In the October 1930 issue of The Frisco Employes' Magazine, under the heading "Mechanical Department Oklahoma City, Okla." there is a short entry that reads: "Coach Cleaner Jacob Rumery and family have just returned from a pleasant vacation which was spent around Ft. Collins, Colo. This publication appears to have been for railroad workers.
In the 1930 U.S. Census for Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, Jake M. Rumery is listed as head of family age 30 born Nebraska, with wife Mable L. Rumery age 22 born Oklahoma and daughter Rosa M. Rumery 1 and 6/12 years old.
