  Notes	He was christened in the same water as the father of Harald Bøe, Lars Bøe, and they were close in childhood. Lars was an accomplished fiddler. He played flatfele (violin) at dances in the community, and always created a fantastic atmosphere. He had many stories and expressions that he used in the middle of melodies that he played. There were many who imitated him. One of his expressions was "Skål da og atter en gledelig jul, med nisser og snø på taket." Often he played together with Ola Søyne; Lars played accordian. He rented Hammarstad from his brother-in-law Hans Bråten. His son Bøye took over Hammerstad 12 Jan 1964. Lars married his second wife, Kristine Knutsdotter Bergheim, from Hegge in Østre Slidre, in 1935. [2]
