- Nordby was a country store that was located just to the west of the old Grindaheim Hotel (Summer Hotel). It was in operation from about 1865 and was destroyed by fire sometime in the early 1900s. It can be seen to the right of the hotel in a photograph on page 530 of Valdres Bygdebook, Vang A, by Frøholm.
