- "He was brought up in Wallingford, parish of Meriden. He m., Nov. 30, 1743, Mary Way, who d. Sept. 27, 1748 -- a fatal month to him, as he also lost two children. He m. 2nd, April 6, 1749, Bridget Goodwin, and had children b. in Meriden Parish. His descendants say he lived, 1770, in Enfield, Conn. May 13 1778, he was of 'New Molbeary, in Boston Government,' (New Marlboro, Berkshire county, Mass.) He conveys his interest in his father's estate to Daniel Hall."
In 1882, his family bible was in the possession of his descendant, Edwin R. Baldwin (reference 225, p. 598) who sent the author the following births: Rebecca, June 25, 1750; David, March 28, 1753 (reference 225, p. 525); Nathaniel, Oct. 8, 1755; Mollie, Aug. 13, 1758; Jehiel, Feb. 4, 1761; Martha, Aug 16, 1766; Hannah, Sept. 1, 1770.
