  Notes	He was given a lease from parish priest Castberg on 12 Feb 1746 and a deed of conveyance from his siblings for their share of aloidial rights on 16 Feb 1750, for 96 3/4 rd. His first wife Marit died in 1748. Marit H. Jarstad had been at the farm and helped him with its management. They became engaged in 1752, but never married. Frøholm wrote that he had a melancholic and brooding disposition, and was in no condition to take care of himself, "shortened his life" and was buried 3 Mar 1754, in consecrated soil. [1]
