      In the WWI Draft Registration, he is listed as having been born 21 Oct 1886 at Norway Lake, Minnesota, and residing at R2, Kerkhoven, Minnesota, with wife and children. In the WWI Draft Registration records, his brother Herbert C. O. Ellingboe is listed with a residence in Kerkhoven and birth date of 21 Jun 1895 in Kerkhoven.       In the 1920 U.S. Census, Martin and Anna Ellingboe are listed at Norway Lake, Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, with three children -- Alvord (11), Lillian (7) and Adell (2).

      Martin worked one year as a clerk in the Moen Gandrud store. He attended school in Norway Lake, attended Willmar Seminary and business college in Minneapolis. He was a farmer and built many "round" barns in the Sunburg area. During a flu epidemic in 1920 he helped other farmers who had become ill. When he fell ill with the flu he got pneumonia and died in a very short time. He left his wife, Anna, and three young children -- Alvord, Lillian and Adell. Three months later Anna gave birth to their son Marvin. She lived with her parents, Joe and Ragnild Jorgenson, before moving into Willmar. She was a housekeeper, seamstress and high school cook. On August 28, 1949, she married Peter Amundson at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. Peter was born December 24, 1891 in Gudbrandsdal, Norway. At the age of 14 he and his family emigrated to the United States. ONe of his brothers was Ole Amundson who was married to Anna's sister Rose. Pete and Anna's attendants were Lillian and Howard Sonderson. They went to Osakis and had a wedding dinner with Howard, Lillian, Carol and Lois Sonderson, Alvord, Joyce, Butch and Sandy Ellingboe. Peter was a cabinet maker by trade. Peter and Anna lived at 603 13th St. W. in Willmar. They lived their last years at Christian Nursing Home. They are both buried at Vinje Lutheran Cemetery in Willmar. Peter died February 15, 1971 in Willmar. Anna died March 10, 1976. [3]
