In the index of pre-1907 Wisconsin births, there is a "Kunth M. Ellingboe" born in Winnebago County on 27 Mar 1902, which is the same day as Clarence's birth date. Is it possible that he was given the name Knut upon birth and name was changed later?

Four Menasha young men have en-
listed for military training at Camp
Custer. Battle Creek. Mich. during
the month of August. Winnebago
county's quota, of twenty-five is re-
ported to have been exceeded. Those
who plan to go from Menasha are
Charles Phillips, Clarence Ellingboe,
Harry Dyer and William Brown.

ACCEPTS A SETTLEMENT.
Frank Gambsky of this city is reported
to have accepted $300 in settlement
of his suit against Knute
Ellingboe and Clarence Ellingboe,
father and son of Menasha, the former
owner and the latter driver of
the automobile which struck and
killed Gambsky's 7-year-old daughter
Loretta here last spring. Gambsky
filed suit in circuit court asking $10,-
000 damages for the death of his
child, but attorneys announced that a
settlement on the above terms had
been effected.
