Notes |
- Tore divided Ellingbø 34/ between his two sons, Ola T. Ellingbø and Eirik T. Ellingbø. He owned also Bøe 42/ (Klokkergården) and farmed it as an under farm from 1632 to 1642. In some documents he was called Tørris and in others Tor. He farmed all of Sørre Ellingbø 34 from 1620 to 1645.
In 1614/15, he was fined 5 dollars because he caused Ola Bjorke to have a bloody injury on one hand. When he divided the farm a little before 1642, his son Ola got "Sygarde," but he kept "Uppigarde" for the other son, Erik, who took it over about 1650.
Ellingbø 34/ Sygarde was apparently deserted until the end of the 1500s, because the farm books from 1578 and 1588 show only one Ellingbø farm, and this appears to be the north farm. There, at the end of 1500, they paid, in addition to the regular tax, a supplementary charge for deserted farms. They probably farmed Ellingbø 34/ (søndre) as additional farm land. It is likely that Tore came originally from the north farm, but this is uncertain.
