- At Court held in New Haven, the 5th of July, 1653, Susan Clarke, daughter of James Clarke, charged Ellis Mews with sexual molestation. According to testimony, he entered her bedroom, at the John Clarke residence on the Ling farm. Ellis Mews and Susan were both living at this farm. [1]
