  Notes	Obituary (Budstikken, May 1983, p. 36): "Gudmund T. Norswing. New Richland, Minnesota, died November 20, 1982 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. He was born at Dennison, Minnesota to John and Sigrid (Austinson) Norswing September 28, 1905. After graduation from the Kenyon high school he attended Luther College and the University of Minnesota, getting a master's degree at the latter. On June 21, 1937 he was married to Lenore Lund of Northwood, Iowa. He taught school at Starbuck and Herman, Minnesota and served as superintendent of schools at Barrett, Minnesota for nine years before going to New Richland where he served as superintendent of the Richland-Hartland schools from 1938 until his retirement in 1969. Mr. Norswing is survived by his wife, Lenore: a sister, Mrs. Floyd (Berniece) Leidal of Northfield; three nieces, Sue Peterson of Erskine, Minnesota, Debra Znamecoski of St. Paul and Marily Houston of Jacksonville, Florida, and one nephew, John Schumm of Northfield. Fundral services for Mr. Norswing were held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Richfield, with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery, Northfield."
