    Før han giftet seg fikk han to barn med Marit I Hemsing, Ivar (1835-) og Ivar (1836-) den første Ivar må ialfall ha dødd liten ettersom også den andre sønnen het Ivar. Berit og Jon hadde to barn som døde unge og de hadde dessuten Ragnhild (1855-19 03) gm Jon T Leine på Remme 65/1, de hadde ikke barn og Jon gav gården til sin brordatter Karen L Leine, som heller ikke hadde barn og ga gården videre igjen til sin brorsønn Helge Tørrisen Leine. Nå sitter det etterkommere etter Leineslekte n på begge Remmegårdene.

Barbro (1886-19 49) UG arbeidet hos bestefaren og onkelen i Øylo, flyttet siden tilbake til Leirol. Ola (1892-) til Iowa i Amerika1912

    Notes:

    Han var bruker av Leirol 62/1 fra 1916 til 1954. Han fikk skjøte av moren, som hadde drevet gården fra faren døde i 1895 til hun gav den til John. Han drev med krøtter og hestehandel før han overtok, bl.a. i Moss, på Fagernes og Lærdalsøyri. Han fikk Oppland landbruksselskaps medalje for nydyrking og dugande jorbruksdrift i 1958. Han kjøpte første traktoren i Vang, som senere ble solgt til Lærdal og gikk der i mange år. Det var en Ferguson.

    Han arbeidet mye med å restaurere "Ridderstova", hvor han samlet gamle ting fra bygda og stilte det ut der. Han kunne få kjøpt skogsteigen mellom Ala og Øylo av Torpe for 500 kroner, men søskenbarnet Ivar G Øylo ville ha teige, så han fikk Ala til østgrense, og John gikk med på det.

    John og Arbjørg hadde også sønnen Ola (1937-1937) som døde 3 dager gammel av difteri.
