He was given Windingstad by his father in 1765. On 15 Feb 1800 Ola appeared before the Tinget (town council or state parliament?) to "publicize" a deed of conveyence of half of Windingstad to his eldest son Torgeir. Torgeir was allowed to choose which half he wanted and he selected the upper half. Because of this, Torgeir became the first owner of Øvre Windingstad 33/1, while his father Ola remainde at Nedre Windingstad 33/5.

In TVH, vol. 26, p. 101, 1948, he is said to have been born 17 Sep 1748, but there is no baptism record for that period. Rather, the baptism is on 19 May 1748.

Age 63 years. Uncertain whether this is his death date or funeral.
