Notes:

In 1865 Census, family, including parents with children Niels (age 7) and Ole (age 3) was living on Grunkø (Grunke). According to Anders Frøholm, he started farming Grunke about 1860, after having lived with his family at Ellingbøe for awhile. He was a smith, often called "Ola Smeden." The family emigrated 1876.

According to Evelyn Ellingboe Horwath, the Nelson farm was just across the pasture from her family's farm, which was a quarter of a mile west of the Ove Ellingboe homestead where her father grew up. She believes that at least part of her current farm was part of the original homestead claim.
