    Hun fikk gården av foreldrene i 1903. De tok etter hvert Skogen både som familienavn og gårdsnavn. Durdei hadde ansvaret for hus, fjøs og etter hvert en stor barneflokk. Hun vevde sitt eget vadmål. I 1930 årene begynte hun med bærdyrking. Hun va r engasjert i misjons- og husmorlagsarbeid. De bygde ett uthus under samme tak i 1935. Det gamle våningshuset ble samtidig restauret og utvidet.
