  1. 1.  Eli Larsdtr BUGGE was born about 1725 in Løken 34/1 Øs; and died.

    Notes:

    I boken om Buggeslekten i Valdres står det (side 72): "Det har ikke hittil lykkes å finne hennes fødselsårstall. Etter tradisjonen innen slekta skal hun være Lars Bugges edste barn. Hun er i alle fall eldst av døtrene siden hun nevnes først av disse i skifte på Løken 1811-1812. I folketellingen i 180 1 er hun oppgitt til 60 år, men av mange forskjellige grunner er ikke alderesn alltid å lite på i disse folketellingene. I 1760 finner vi at hun er trolovet med Knut Torsteinsen Røyne. Han ble utkommandert til Holstein som soldat og kom ikke tilbake, og i 1761 satt Eli med en gutt på fanget og faren var død. Gutten fikk navnet Christen etter prosten, bestefaren. (To re Øy: Vang o Slire, side 684-85, står det om en Ingebjørg L Bugge, men det som står der er galt"

    Hun giftet seg senere med Lars Olsen Moen, Holdal, Thon eller Gilen. De drev Hodal i Skrautvål 1762-1796, Ton fra 1796-1797 og var senere i Gilen i Skrautvål. Det er sagt at det "gikk ut "med dem, selv om Eli arvet 300 rd i 1811 etter sin bror Ola . De hadde barna: Lars i Gilen død 1818, Ola som reiste til USA. en datter som var gift med Engebret Olssen Bundlid omkring 1818 og som var bonde i Ton og Bundlid, og det er mulig de hadde flere barn

    Han var en strevsom arbeidskar og en dyktig håndverker. Han var både skredder. snekker og "laggar" og kunne dessuten kunsten å smi, skriver Beitrusten. I boka om Buggeslekten i Valdres, heter det at han var stor og meget strek. Der står det ogs å at han var en meget dyktig forteller og kunne mye om slekt og gamle tradisjoner. Han var en ivrig venstremann og deltok ofte på store møter. (Etter Torstein Rudi)
