Han og Berit hadde 7 barn som vi vet om: Ola 1711-1788 på Egge, Nils 1714- på Garvik, Barbro 1720- gi 1747 m Jøger Eriksen Høyme, Marit 1724- gi 1748 m Jens Jakobsen Moen, Torstein 1727- på Øyraker, Ha lvard 1729-1808 på Lome, og Anne 1733- gi 1755 med Andris Engebretsen Klukkargardn. Ola var ikke så påholden som vanlig er for bønder i Valdres. Han var raus og levde kanskje på en litt for stor fot. Omkring 1724 brant hele gården ned. Ola bygde den straks oppigjen, men da alt sto ferdig var det også slutt på velsdtanden, og han hadde stor gjeld på gården.
