    Han var først på Syndrol 48/2, før han tok med seg familen til Amerika, til Goodhue Co. Der var de pionerfarmere i Vang Township De hadde tre barn: Christoffer, Anne og Marit. Cristopger overtok farmen i Vang Tonwship Kjøpte 48/2, Syndrol, 3. februar 1858 for 800 spd. av Johannes Håvardsson Syndrol som reiste til Amerika same våren. 7. mars 1866 selde han vidare med skjøte til Ivar Sjugurdsson Eltun for 700 spd, og drog til Amerika med heile huslyden same våren. Var pionerfarmar i Vang, Goodhue Co, Minnesota. Sonen Christoffer vart farmar same stad.

    Valdris Helsing 4 aug. 1904: "Sambandet har nylig mistet en tro Ven og agtet Medlem, idet John Einarson Heen døde i sin Søns Hjem, nær Dennison i Goodhue County, Minnesota, den 30te Juni sidstleden. Han hadde en Tid været syg, skjøndt uden megen Lidelse, og Bortgangen var fre delig og rolig. Han var født paa Gaarden Heen i Vang, Valdris, den 8de Juni 1834, af Forælderene Einar Christophersen Heen og Anne Johnsdatter født Lerhol. Han var gift med Eli Endresdatter Røgn fra Vang, og hun overlever ham. Af deres Børn leve r Sønnen Christopher, der er Medlem af Valdris Sambands Styre, og en Datter Anne, Mrs. Olai J. Seltun, boende i Rolette County, N. Dakota. Af Johns Søskende er der igjen to Brødre, Anders Ranisæte og Einar Ormestad, begge i Lomen, Vestre Slidre , Valdris. I 1866 udvandrede han med Kone og Børn til Amerika og kom til Goodhue County, hvor han kjøbte et Landstykke et Par Mil fra Dennison, og her har han siden boet. Sønnen eier og driver nu Farmen, og i hans hyggelige Hjem har de gamle nyd t fin Alderdoms Lykke og Hvile.     Han dro til tanten kirsti (Syndrol Rustad) i Decorah og bodde der til han kunne nok engelsk og amerikansk leveset til å klare seg på egenhånd. Han pleide å fortelle at han tjente sine første penger i Amerika ved å slepe på gjødsel til 15 dolla r i måneden. Senere slo han serg ned i Esterville hvor han hadde suksess som kjøpmann og investerte stort i banker og i tømmerhandel. Da han døde var han den rikeste mannen i emmet County (Willard Torgrim), så lenge forteldrene levde i Vang, reiste han og broren Andrew dit hvert femte år for å besøke dem.
