Da eg fekk veta det, fekk eg den beskjeden eg hadde frykta mest i heile mitt liv. Da eg var mindre, var du mykje med meg på riding, etterpå var eg med heimatt til deg og bestemor. På Vinsteren var eg også med ein del i fjøset. På Vinsteren var den plassen der vi var mykje om sumrane. Vi syntes alltid det var stas, da fekk vi fersk Vinster-fisk, med potet og agurksalat. Dagen før vi skulle fløta heimatt for fire år sia fekk Topsy kvelpa. Då kom Mira til verda, det var ikkje heilt planlagd, men det var moro. Vinsteren var sumarparadiset for deg, bestefar, og du likte godt at vi barnebarna kom og ovematta. Det var moro for oss alle, og du hadde alltid ordna med mat til vi kom, og var blid som ei sol. I jula er vi jo alltid hjå deg og bestemor, då feira vi saman heile familien, med rakfisk og graut til lunsj, og ribbe og kjøttkaker til middag. Heile familien kjem til å merke at du ikkje er der no, dey kjem til å vere ein tom stol ved borde t i år.
