    Hun er mor til vitenskapsmannen og presten Johannes Belsheim Hun ble ofte kalt Kvema. Hun skal ha vært makeløs til å fortelle og synge. I følge Frøholm kjente hun alle sauemerker fra Håli'n til Uvdal. De første barna hennes var tvillingene Di s og Kari, begge døde små. Hun var av velstandsfolk, men Kvemishaugen var ikke rare plassen. Bjørnen drepte den kua de hadde. Det sies at de hadde en så klar bjelle på kyret, at den kunne høres mange km borte, og bjørnen likte ikke slike sterke bjeller. Da mannen Embrikt døde, måtte hun og Johannes ut på bygda for å skaffe seg mat. De fikk husvære i Øyo, og et mål åker. Bonden på Belsheim slo også av på leie- prisen, men det var likevel ikke nok til å holde liv i dem begge, så de tok mange slag s jobber rundt i Bygda.
