    Frøholm skriver:"Det vart sagt at Jøger hadde svarteboke, og at han lærde ettermannen Pål å finne vilt, så han aldri vart kjøtlaus. Jøger var i alle fall en stor reinsgjeger og skytter." Det var svigersønnen På Kristoffersen Nordland som overtok husmannsplassen omkring 1850.
