    Et annet sted står det at hun er født 1807. Hun var først gift med Nils Torsteinson Myre. Rett før han døde solgte han denne delen av Myre til Knut Hallvardsen Berge eller Leithe. Da Nils døde like etter salget fikk Berit livaure av Knut, men hu n har nok fått mer enn det, for i 1844 fikk hun sønnen Knut, i 1847 fikk hun sønnen Gullik som døde noen få uker gammel og i 1849 fikk hun datteren Berit. I 1850 giftet de seg.
