- She was a daughter of Wernher and Rotlint, or, possibly, of Sancho-Lupus, Duke of Gascony. She wrote the famous Liber Manualis, a handbook thta gave moral instruction to her teenage son William, who had been sent to the court of Charles the Bald (essentially as a political hostage) in 841. [1]
