By 1840 she had moved to Drñgsered Parish, where she worked as a maid in Ballabo and Lidhult. In 1850 she moved to Timmershult as the wife of Johannes. Marriage record not yet found. Shown as living together in 1850 in the village of Timmershult, Gryteryd Parish, Småland (now Halland), Sweden. Johanna left for America from Göteborg on May 18, 1883 wirh son Anders (10) and Helga (3), daughter of her daughter Augusta. Destination listed as Wilkes Barre, PA. Lived with daughter Anna and her husband Jacob L. Jacobson when widowed until her death. Shown living with daughter on 1900 census and on register of Zion Luth. Church in Omaha, NE
